Terms of Use — Bible: Daily Verse Widget

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Bible: Daily Verse Widget (“the App”), provided by NickLogos (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. About the App

Bible: Daily Verse Widget provides Bible verses, prayers, reflections, faith-based affirmations, visual themes, reminders, and Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

The App is intended to support personal reflection, encouragement, prayer, and spiritual engagement.

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, any church, denomination, religious organization, or Bible publisher unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Eligibility

You may use the App only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

If you are under the age of legal majority in your country or region, you should use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple’s applicable usage rules.

The App is licensed, not sold.

You may not:

copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App;
reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the App’s source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
interfere with the App’s operation, security, subscriptions, purchases, or technical protections;
use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes;
use automated systems to extract, scrape, copy, or reproduce App content at scale;
remove copyright, attribution, trademark, or proprietary notices.

All rights not expressly granted to you remain reserved by us and our licensors.

4. Free and Premium Features

The App may include both free and Premium features.

Free features may include a limited selection of Bible content, themes, widgets, reminders, favorites, sharing, history, or other functionality.

Premium access may include additional themes, backgrounds, prayers, reflections, affirmations, Explore content, widget customization, or other features described within the App.

We may change which features are free or Premium, add new features, remove features, or modify existing features where reasonably necessary.

Any material change to an active paid subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law and Apple’s App Store requirements.

5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

The App may offer auto-renewable subscription plans, including monthly and annual plans.

The exact subscription name, duration, price, currency, and included benefits are shown in the App before purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it before the renewal date through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal according to the subscription price shown by Apple for your country or region.

Subscription prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, and App Store pricing.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through:

Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

or through the subscription-management options provided by Apple.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

6. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

The App currently may not offer a free trial unless one is explicitly shown on the purchase screen.

If a free trial, introductory offer, promotional offer, or discounted subscription is offered in the future, its specific eligibility, duration, price, renewal terms, and conditions will be displayed before purchase.

Unused portions of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where permitted by Apple’s rules.

7. Subscription Changes

Apple manages subscription billing, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, billing retries, grace periods, refunds, and payment-method issues.

Changes between monthly and annual plans are processed according to Apple’s subscription rules and the subscription-group configuration shown in the App Store.

We do not directly control the date on which Apple applies an upgrade, downgrade, renewal, cancellation, refund, or billing adjustment.

8. Restoring Purchases

The App may provide a Restore Purchases feature.

Restore Purchases attempts to restore eligible purchases associated with the Apple ID currently signed in on the device.

A restore may fail or show no active Premium access if:

the subscription has expired or been cancelled;
the purchase was made using another Apple ID;
Apple has not yet synchronized the transaction;
network, App Store, or device services are temporarily unavailable;
the purchase was refunded or revoked.

9. Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple.

We do not directly receive your full payment details and generally cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.

Refund requests must be submitted to Apple and are governed by Apple’s refund policies, local law, and App Store terms.

Approval of a refund is determined by Apple.

10. Bible Translations and Content Sources

The App may include Bible verses from public-domain or otherwise permitted Bible translations, including the World English Bible and the American Standard Version.

Bible quotations, references, translation names, and supporting attributions are provided for informational and devotional use.

While we make reasonable efforts to present verses and references accurately, we do not guarantee that all text, punctuation, formatting, references, or translation metadata will always be error-free.

You should consult an authorized printed or digital Bible source when exact wording is important.

11. Prayers, Reflections, and Affirmations

Prayers, reflections, and affirmations included in the App may be original supporting content and should not be treated as direct Bible quotations unless clearly identified as such.

Such content is provided for personal inspiration, reflection, and devotional purposes.

It does not represent the official teaching, interpretation, or position of every Christian church, denomination, theologian, ministry, or religious organization.

12. No Professional Advice

The App provides general faith-based and devotional content.

The App does not provide:

medical advice;
mental-health treatment;
psychological counselling;
crisis intervention;
legal advice;
financial advice;
professional pastoral counselling;
diagnosis or treatment of any condition.

Do not rely on the App as a substitute for qualified professional, medical, psychological, legal, financial, or pastoral assistance.

If you are experiencing an emergency or serious crisis, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.

13. Notifications

The App may allow you to schedule local reminders, including daily verse notifications.

Notification delivery is not guaranteed.

Notifications may be delayed, suppressed, changed, or not delivered because of:

device settings;
Focus modes;
notification permissions;
battery optimization;
operating-system behavior;
time-zone changes;
device restarts;
App removal;
technical limitations.

You remain responsible for managing notification permissions and settings on your device.

14. Widgets

The App may provide Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

Widget content and visual appearance may vary depending on:

widget size;
iOS version;
device model;
system layout;
selected theme;
available space;
refresh schedules controlled by iOS.

Apple controls widget refresh timing, and we cannot guarantee that widgets will refresh instantly or at a specific time.

Some verses or supporting content may be shortened, excerpted, or replaced by a reference when space is limited.

15. User-Saved Information

The App may store favorites, saved content, reading history, selected themes, translations, reminders, and widget settings locally on your device.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and any applicable device backups.

Local information may be lost if:

you delete the App;
you clear App data;
your device is lost, reset, or damaged;
an operating-system update removes data;
a technical failure occurs;
the App’s storage container becomes unavailable.

We are not responsible for the loss of locally stored information where such loss is beyond our reasonable control.

The App may allow you to share verses, references, prayers, reflections, affirmations, or images using the iOS sharing interface.

You are responsible for the content you choose to share and for complying with:

applicable copyright laws;
platform rules;
third-party rights;
the terms of any service through which you share content.

You may not use the sharing tools to misrepresent the source, translation, authorship, or meaning of content.

17. Intellectual Property

The App’s software, design, interface, original prayers, original reflections, original affirmations, visual themes, graphics, branding, icons, and other original materials are owned by NickLogos or used with permission.

Public-domain Bible translations remain subject to their applicable public-domain status and attribution practices.

Third-party trademarks, service names, SDK names, and platform names remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the App or its intellectual property to you.

18. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services, including:

Apple App Store and StoreKit;
Apple notification and widget technologies;
Firebase Analytics;
RevenueCat;
operating-system sharing services.

Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms, policies, and technical requirements.

We are not responsible for outages, delays, interruptions, changes, errors, or restrictions caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

19. Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App.

We do not guarantee that:

every feature will always remain available;
every device or iOS version will remain supported;
every theme or content item will remain unchanged;
the App will always operate without interruption or errors;
third-party services will always remain available.

Where reasonably possible, important changes affecting paid features will be handled transparently and in accordance with applicable law.

20. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

use the App in violation of applicable law;
attempt to bypass Premium restrictions or purchase validation;
manipulate subscription status or transaction data;
introduce malware or harmful code;
disrupt servers, analytics, purchases, or App functionality;
impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
use the App to harass, threaten, defraud, or harm others;
reproduce or distribute proprietary App content without permission.

We may restrict access to the App where reasonably necessary to protect users, our services, third-party systems, or legal rights.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the App will:

meet every personal or spiritual expectation;
always be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
deliver every notification at the selected time;
display current widget content immediately;
remain compatible with every device or iOS version;
prevent all data loss or technical failures.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NickLogos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

This includes, where legally permitted, loss of data, loss of access, missed notifications, interrupted service, lost opportunities, or reliance on devotional content.

Our total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscriptions during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

23. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from:

your unlawful use of the App;
your violation of these Terms;
your infringement of another person’s rights;
content you choose to share through the App.

This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer-protection law.

24. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the App, interfere with purchases or services, or create legal or security risks.

Termination does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, and dispute provisions.

25. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and NickLogos, not Apple.

Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support, warranties, or claims relating to the App, except as required by applicable law or Apple’s own terms.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce applicable Apple-related provisions against you.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer’s place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country or region.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

Any dispute should first be addressed by contacting us in good faith so that we may attempt to resolve it informally.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to:

the App;
Premium features;
subscriptions;
third-party services;
legal requirements;
business or operational practices.

The updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
